In this photo, Mike has obviously concluded a successful hunt with a vintage Winchester Model 1894 in .38-55, if I recollect the rifle. Mike loved old repeaters almost as much as single shot rifles and used them for many of his hunting endeavors.
At a time like this, we like to remember those who have passed with a good photo that shows their zest for life. Mike was surely having an excellent day when this photo was taken and it’s a great image to remember him by.
